South Otago Windows & Doors was established in 1994 and is proudly owned and operated by Brian & Joan McLeod. Originally called Hylight Aluminium, the business was renamed in 2010 to reflect our extended area of operations. 

We offer over 15 years experience in fabricating and installing aluminium joinery for both residential and commercial projects in Dunedin, Otago and Southland region.

We are the only South Otago-based Future Proof registered fabricator. We also belong to the Window Association of New Zealand, the national trade organisation for aluminium joinery.

Brian McLeod - Managing Director

Brian founded South Otago Windows & Doors (as Hylight Aluminium) in 1994, and has 25 years experience in the aluminium window and door industry.

Brian has 3 adult children and is a member of St. John, presently serving as Chairperson of Milton St. John. In his spare time he enjoys golf and social bowls.

Murray Mead - Sales & Ordering

Murray has 20 years experience in wooden joinery as well as 10 years experience with aluminium window and doors.

Murray has a family of 3 Children and enjoys golf, bridge, snooker,  and social bowls.

Tracey Hall - Administration

Tracey has 7 Years experience in administration. She has 2 wonderful girls, Toni & Nikki. Who both attend Tokomairiro High School in Milton. Tracey enjoys netball, swimming, walking,
